Greetings from Oregon
I've been reading the advice and information posted here since last September. Then, last night, I saw a posting by Barbara T. and decided to join. I downloaded her 37 page instructions on the 18th Century Box-pleat Kilt back in October and made one from some very light material as an experiment.
I'm getting ready to make my first modern kilt from black bottom-weight fabric to wear to work every day. Thanks to what I have read here in the last few months I have a much better idea what I'm doing. The Art of Kiltmaking is on the birthday-present list for this year and hopefully I will be making a PV kilt soon after.
I just need to say thanks to everyone already for all the help and for having this place to get together!
