Greetings from Ottawa, Ontario
Hello Everybody,
Just wanted to say thanks for having such a group that exist for those of us who offer support and advice for kilt wearers. Here is a short little background about myself: I'm in my mid 30's, black male of direct Scottish descent through my paternal grandmother. My grandmother was from Perth (Highlands). Some days I go to town kilted because I am very proud of my Scottish ancestry. I find sometimes I am questioned and sometimes even Quizzed about my Kilt Tartan Pattern, Kilt Pin Coat of Arms, and why am I wearing the kilt in the first place. Usually after answering 100% correct the questioner knows without a doubt I am Scottish, I just look a little different ;)I have been seriously considering wearing the kilt full time. If I decide to do so would it be odd such an outfit serve this purpose?

Greetings R. Crosby, and welcome to X Marks from Delaware, USA. What is the tartan (clan or district) of your kilt?
Many of us here started wearing a kilt because of our ancestral connection to Scotland and pride of our Scottish heritage. Then... we discovered that the kilt is truly, a comfortable garment and a joy to wear. There are several members here that wear the kilt full time so you will be in good company and you will receive plenty of support from the rabble.
Glad you chose to join XMTS; you're going to like it here.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle.
