Greetings and Salutations from Northern Colorado. . .
. . .or, the American Highlands, as it were!
Don't know how to introduce myself other than I am somewhat of a Mutt. Scotch-Irish-French-German. . so every now and again I have an urge to get drunk and overthrow small, third-world countries. . .like Wyoming, for example.
In my errant youth, I wore a Great Kilt as a member of the SCA, but didn't really consider one for daily wear with the possible exception of attendance at various heavy metal concerts.
I spent some time in various parts of the world working for Uncle Sugar, both in an enlisted capacity and contractually, so my recent mode of dress was primarily "tactical."
Hence, my recent attraction to kilts. I was among those who begged, pleaded and possibly threatened the management of 5.11 soon after their April Fool's joke of 2012. To back up said threats, I purchased several of the offered Tactical Duty Kilts.
After wearing them, I became. . .hooked.
Though I currently prefer my monochromatic Scottish attire, I am taking the steps to purchasing one of the more "traditional"-style (read as : "patterned") kilts. Though, to be honest, I do like the non-conventional appearance, and price-point, of the 5.11 TDK's.
I shall, in the very near future, be posting some questions to this forum. Most will pose questions that are, probably, to be received as a bit odd. . .if not thoroughly confusing.
But, anything else would be out of character for me.
I thank you, and look forward to confounding even the most assured among you!
The Professor
