Greetings from South Eastern New Mexico
Greeting fellow members:
My name is Christopher. I'm a former U.S. Marine I proudly served 8 glorious years in the Marine Corps and if I could do it again I would. I look forward to meeting and making new friends world wide both military or civilians. My main purpose and goal of joining this site was to meet people who are members of any Scotish, British, Canadian or American Pipe and Drum Bands, their Pipe Majors especially the Drum Majors and those who are as serious and passionate as I am about Drum Major Competition. I have done some Drum Major Competition at various Scotish games. For a short time I had the priviledge of being a member of the Black Watch Highland Society of Southern California in my youth. I'm now in my 40's but would love to once again compete in Drum Major Competition. I am Scot Irish and have researched my Scotish heritage and
know I'm a descendent of the Royal Stewart Clan. My favorite Pipe and Drum and Military unit is the Black Watch. I have a few questions for
anybody who is a Drum Major or a judge of Drum Major Competition. If I wanted to wear a full dress parade or day Black Watch Drum Major uniform or do I need permission from the Black Watch to wear their uniform for Drum Major Competition? I would greatly appreciate any advice or recommendations.

Hello from Spain
Think of it the other way around. How would you feel about an non American wearing a full dress USMC uniform who had not been in your Corps?

another welcome from Reno by a New Mexico expat. here are the web pages of the 2 Albuquerque Bands I know about. When I was with HDPD we did have some members that competed in the drum major competition, and while i did not have a chance to pipe with the MTS, some of the people there are the greatest.
Also check out SAMS own, they will sometimes have pipers and are more oriented to the military style pageantry
