Greetings from Southern Maryland

I have to admit that I've been lurking on this site for a few weeks, absorbing all of the great information that's available here. You all have become my number one reference for all things pertaining to a kilt, and I want to thank you all for the knowledge shared.

My wife of 32 years and I, as well as our Westie Sophie and our Maine Coon cat Sammy live in southern Maryland and until we went to the Virginia Celtic Festival last fall, we didn't realize what we've been missing - what great fun!

My paternal grandmother's parents were from Edinburgh (Watson) and so I grew up learning a little of that heritage. After vacationing in Scotland back in the mid '80's and falling in love with that beautiful country and the lovely people, my wife and I became even more interested. So we plan to attend as many festivals, etc that we can in the area, and hopefully i"ll be able to meet some of you at them.

Welcome from County Carroll. With all of the new folks from Maryland, We are just going to have to have a get together. maybe in the spring. Somewhere mid state. Keep an eye on the board.
