Hello everyone. A couple of months ago I took the plunge and while in Glasgow ordered a Sutherland muted tartan. I already own 8 Utilikilts but wanted a proper kilt that I could use instead of ever having to wear a suit again. I chose the Sutherland tartan as my surname Grey is a sect off of the Sutherland's. I own a Bonnie Prince Charlie jacket as well for formal events. However, I think this charcoal Argyle will do for plenty of events. I included a photo of what I wore at my children's Christmas concert.

Thanks everyone. It's been on my mind constantly on how to put it all together next! My partner's mother is staying with us through Christmas and she's a master knitter...I'm wondering if I could hit her up for some flashes or even some woolen hose. This site has given me many ideas!
