Greetings from Virginia
Hello to all - I am astonished by the wealth of information that's available on this site. Not to mention all the links that connect to even MORE information, and the fine folks who make a variety of kilts and accessories... I have considered getting a kilt for almost 25 years, and thought I simply needed to decide on a tartan for my first kilt.
But after a couple of days of intensive reading on this site, I now need to decide on knife pleat vs box pleat vs (reverse?) Kingussie vs... I'll continue to read the various threads in the forums, and get a more informed idea for my first kilt.
I'll certainly take a closer look at the kilts being worn at the next games I attend (Richmond Highland Games in October), and talk with people regarding their kilt, why they chose that particular style, etc. Many thanks to all the contributors on this site - it's a great resource for newbies like me!

Welcome to xmarks from the highlands of Kentucky.
I've got a lot of kinfolk scattered up and down the Shenadoah valley and as far north as Manassas, and have been to Virginia twice in the last couple months on family matters. Lovely state, with some good Scots-american blood throughout.
