Hello all!
I've found myself at this forum many times over the last year or two, most recently when trying to learn more about the Clark/Clergy tartan I wear (as a descendant of both Clarks and of clergy). Yet again I've found myself fascinated by thread after thread having nothing to do with the reasons I thought I was here. I figure that means it's high time I step out of the digital shadows to say hello!
I'm a grad student/teacher/musician, depending on the time of year. My family is mostly English, Irish and Welsh on my mothers side, mostly Scottish on my dad's. But since the family is also simply crawling with Presbyterian ministers, it's the Scottish we've always most emphasized and celebrated.
I dare say I'll carry on being mostly a quiet lurker, as I have very little expertise of my own. But whether or not I'm ever a regular poster here, I do want to thank this forum for all the hours of engrossing reading, and the very real education you're giving me!
