Gruessech from Bern!
I'm living in Bern, Switzerland (not far from the Berner Oberland - the 'highlands' of Bern), and have been a frequent and avid visitor to this site as a guest. The wealth of knowledge about kilts and highland-attire here is astounding. I have very little kilt-wearing experience as of yet, but I hope to remedy that in the future.
My heritage is 'Scotch-Irish', according to my grandmother on my maternal side, but as of yet I have not definitively traced an ancestor to Scotland. Regardless of what I discover, however, I still plan on getting kilted. I look forward to attending several highland games later this year in the U.S., and I hope to run into some X Marks members in the process. I have learned quite a bit about Scottish culture whilst lurking about the site, and now it's time to join the conversation. Cheers.
