Hello
Been lurking (and a member) for way to long to have never posted, so I thought I would remedy that and say hello.
My wife bought me a kilt for my birthday 1-1/2 years ago from the Celtic Croft. It was an Economy Kilt in Black Watch out of their Homespun tartan range. The kilt is holding up great. I was a 40" waist when I got it and after loosing 15 lbs I am now a 36". I moved the buckles and made new holes to keep it fitting well, but I think it is time for a new one, but then again isn't it always time for a new kilt?
I kilt up for hiking and special occaisions. My last kilted outing was a 10K road race (1:05:26 - PR for me, 35th in my age group) two weeks ago. Temps were in the low 70's and partly cloudy. I was only a little bit warmer in the kilt (mostly in the lower back) than I am when I run in shorts.
Thanks to everyone here - both members and mods. You make this the best online community I have ever lurked out in.
