    Hello!

Thank you for allowing me to join this very informative forum. I have just invested in the materials needed to sew my very own x Kilt. I have purchased 5 yards of OD green cotton twill, 2" black hook & loop fastener, and OD green thread. I have a wee bit of Dunlap disease and worry about where to wear my kilt. I will post dimensions later. I teach high school special education and enjoy showing my students how to sew. I have currently sewn numerous rag dolls, 1 hammock, and 2 tarps. I have sewn my daughter a t-shirt dress at home. Thant is the extent of sewing prowess. During the summers I work @ Camp Barstow. This is a Boy Scout camp, where I am the High Adventure director. This will be the main use for my Kilts as being an individual and running high adventure seem to go hand in hand! ;-). I will go ahead and thank you all for answer all my ignorant questions for I feel shire they will come shortly. Thanks again for letting me join!

    I have my measurements!

Well I have my measurements but now I have questions! here are my measurements
Waist - 50" (Measured at navel (belly button)
    Rump - 51"
    Fell - 8" (from directions)
    Drop - 23"

As you can see I have a belly. I remeasured where I wear my pants and that is 45". i keep trying to look at pictures to see where I should wear the kilt or where I should design my waist. oh my the troubles begin already. It's easier to build a boat! ;-)
