Hello (again)
Steve was kind enough to reactivate my user ID - I joined the forum several years ago with an interest in kiltmaking, but didn't end up pursuing the art and a busy life prevented much beyond dropping by the DIY & kiltmaking threads to learn and peruse. I didn't find I had much to offer the other lines of conversation - I am not kilted in daily life, but am a life-long highland dancer.
I've since began my own business sewing highland dance apparel and the time has indeed come for me to tackle learning kiltmaking. It's an exciting prospect, albeit an intimidating one.
I have Barb's book, over a decade of sewing experience and more years than that wearing the kilt as a dance.
I expect that you'll mostly find me over in the kiltmaking sandbox!
