Hello again! Now in SE PA, nice to be back
Hello all,
Greetings from Phoenixville PA, a lovely town in Southeastern Pennsylania with a once-again vibrant main street (though it goes by a different name), several good micro-breweries, and a good independent bookstore.
I have been a member of this 'rabble' previously, but have been inactive for a while - moved several times, lost track of old email login or password info, life got in the way, you know the drill. Now back with a slightly modified 'handle.'
Now settled where we hope to stay for a while, with the added advantage that we are not far from a fine kilt shop (USA Kilts) within a 20 minute drive.
We recently brought a friend and his wife there (USA Kilts) for his first kilt ever; he went for the whole package (even the fly plaid!), with our encouragement, and left a happy man (though a bit lighter in the wallet). There is another friend making noises about doing the same, so we'll bring him whenever he can make it to town. I'll say the staff there is uniformly wonderful - professional, friendly, knowledgeable and patient, oh so patient.
I have happily worn a kilt on whatever occasion presented itself, and manufactured those events when none were obvious. My tastes tend toward the traditional, though it may be simply because of the high cost of those more modern 'utility' types.
Looking forward to getting reacquainted.
Be well, everyone.

Yes, welcome back!
I'm envious of your proximity to USA Kilts.
Even when I'm visiting my Mom (in central West Virginia) it's a daunting drive.
A few years ago I made the drive to Fair Hill Maryland to attend their excellent Highland Games, and I've stayed in Gettysburg three times in recent years (I'm a Civil War history enthusiast).
So USA kilts is on the radar! As well as any other Highland Games out your way you could recommend.
