Hello
I'm looking forward to picking up many tips to hone my kiltmaking skills from the great breadth of experience I have gleaned from some of the forum posts I've read so far.
I only got into kiltmaking a year and a half ago and I'm currently sewing my way through kilts number six to nine. I love how each kilt, tartan and person's shaping, brings with it it's own foibles. Although, I must admit, pleating a black Dark Island tartan almost defeated me!
What else to say? I'm Scottish, have lived in England for the past 14 years - which is where I first learned Scottish Country Dancing (shock horror)and all going well will be moving to Philadelphia, PA July 2018 (partner got his dream job). So will definitely be looking to get tips and advice for things stateside.
Cheers
Keith
