Hello from Arizona
Hi, i just ordered my first utility kilt also my first kilt ever. I think the heat here in Az will be easier to handle in a kilt.

Well met new friend. From other members in your area, I think you are making a wise choice. Consider the views of those whom have tried both fabrics, weights and styles of kilt for future decisions. Glad to have you with us.

Welcome! I lived in Phoenix for 15 years, the only thing that helped me deal with the heat was moving to a different state!
My one issue with wearing a kilt there was the waist, the layers of material cinched to keep it at my natural waist would start me to sweating something awful. A loose waisted utility kilt at jeans height was the most comfortable for me.

Welcome from... Arizona! I live in the general Show Low area and have been wearing kilts out and about here for 2 1/2 years now, mostly utility kilts which work wonderfully in the heat, or any temperature above freezing. I wear kilts while walking with my wife, going to the store, the men's Bible study and on trips, long or short. The only time I DONT wear kilts is to work and when I gotta do some kind of dirty job (like painting) that would wreck my kilts, or like today when it is cold and windy. I even wore my UT Kilts camo kilt on a rock hunting trip down by Duncan, AZ. Nothing like the freedom and comfort of a kilt!
