Hello From Atlanta
Hello All,
My name is John and I live in Atlanta, GA. I have been fortunate to find this website and have enjoyed especially the threads of the old kilt pictures, the kilted military regiments, and the pictures of HRH, The Prince of Wales.
I come from a long Scots line that includes McAskills, McKintoshes, Buchanans, Wilsons, and more, and can trace directly back from the Isle of Skye to North Carolina, to Tennessee. Moved to Atlanta 23 years ago and stumbled upon, to my everlasting pleasure, the Stone Mountain Highland Games and the Clan MacLeod Society. Have met so many wonderful people that made me feel right at home (and I am sure we all could relate the same about our clan associations). Have not missed the SMHG since. I have been kilted for over 20 years. Since then, I got married and have three boys, and through my marriage discovered another love – Montreat. NC, a short hop from Grandfather Mountain.
Have lurked here awhile, and I just wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself and express my appreciation of this website, and of those contributors who are so generous with their knowledge.
