Hello from Benicia, CA (SF Bay Area)
Hello from the former state capital of California and, as you can guess by my logon name, I like to sail. That aside, I have been interested in the history of my Scottish name off and on since the first time my dad showed me our clan crest and it's gryonny of eight. I've been wanting a kilt for some time and finally ordered my first yesterday thanks to the encouragement I gained from the great recommendations, comments, pictures, and camaraderie shown on this forum. I just have to convince my wife that I haven't been hit in the head too many times by the boom. You will probably find my future comments on the "Fighting objections from the wife" thread.
Until then, Matt

Welcome from the highlands of Central Massachusetts. You will find all you need to make the case for your wife loving the kilt here. Perhaps all you need for making her dislike it too. Careful - women turn heads when a kilted man goes by.
Some called me Spinnaker in high school in Connecticut - not because I had one but because I was a sailing nut on our local lake - from ice-out to snow I sailed and sailed and sailed.
