Hello From Buffalo!
Hey Everyone-
I'm new to the Forum as a Registered Member, but have visited here many times! Great discourse and information - thanks!
I have (2) Utilikilts, the first I bought almost three years ago, the second I bought just last year. I know they're not "real" kilts in the traditional sense, but it seems you guys are accepting of all comers. Plus I think I'm going to be pulling the trigger on getting a traditional kilt in the not-too-distant future!
Here in WNY (Western New York) we have a few festivals:
Scottish Festival & Highland Games (www.amherstmuseum.org) August 18,2012 - in Amherst, NY; Buffalo Irish Festival (www.buffaloirish.com) August 24-26, 2012 in Downtown Buffalo; Niagara Celtic Heritage Festival & Highland Games (www.niagaraceltic.com) September 15-16, 2012 in Olcott, NY. Although usually well-attended, I don't see too many kilts!
Would like to see if there's interest in having a Kilt Night in Buffalo sometime. I saw that several years ago, a few members of this foum organized one, at D'Arcy McGee's; I think it'd be cool to do another. Any Kilted Brothers in WNY/Southern Ontario?
Thanks for the site, the forum, the information!
Dave
