Hello from the deep south. of Canada, that is.
Hello all. Stumbled onto this forum yesterday while researching kilts. Ordered my first yesterday to be worn with my Scout uniform, a MacLaren tartan in honour of William de Bois MacLaren. If you wish to enlighten yourself https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_de_Bois_Maclaren He purchased the property now known as Gilwell Park where leader training is still provided.

Well met Mike. Mississippi (where I live now, though I'm a North Carolina native) is know as the Deep South. Our members in Australia correct me using geography. We all have to live somewhere, eh? Glad to have you aboard.

In Canada, we don't use the patrol animals but, being a member of BSA also, I understand them. Been a Camp Commissioner at Cole Canoe Base for the past 15 years along with my Canadian Scouting for 30
