    Hello from the Desert

    Hello everyone,
I am newish to the kilt scene. I use to wear a great kilt back in the day when I was into medieval reenactment but I never thought to wear it in a real life setting. But I did miss the freedom and comfort (as much as one can get in great kilt made of wool in 115 degree weather lol). So I have decided to take the plunge I should be receiving my UTKilt by this Friday and a modern kilt in my Clan tartan (Clan Keith) in the next few months or so. I do look forward to talking with all of y'all and learning and sharing my experiences in kilts.

Well met Wulfgar. Slowly build your kilt attire and you'll have better satisfaction in the end. Welcome from Mississippi.

Welcome from a Scotsman living in the midlands of England.

I would have thought that wearing a kilt in 115 degrees heat would have put you off kilt-wearing for life!!

Welcome from the high altitude desert of Colorado. I have not been to in AZ in at least a few decades and I remember the 100+ degree heat. It can be hard to stay cool in that weather, yet if you get a breeze a kilt can sometimes help out.

Thank you for the warm welcome!! I have received my first kilt and absolutely LOVE it. My wife and daughter have both hinted at getting me a couple more for birthday and other gift giving holidays coming up lol. It is safe to say I will not be back in trousers anytime soon if I can avoid it lol.
