Hello from Edmonton
Hello Everybody.
I am from Edmonton or more specifically from St.Albert. I am 37 years old and have finally gotten my first kilt since my days as a wee lad when with much teasing my Gran forced me to wear one. Now that I am older I more enthusiastically embrace my Scottish heratige. My family is a bit muttish , Stewart, MacInnis and MacKinnon with a little german thrown in.
I decided for my first kilt to go with the Black Stewart, the royal I find a bit too common.
Well hopefully I wasn't too long winded. Looking forward to some great conversations and getting to meet like fellows from my area.

Welcome aboard, always glad to have a new member.
Don't feel muttish, we are all in the same boat. I've got Stewart, Keith, Bruce, Brodie, McAlpin, Cameron, Brown and Campbell ancestors to name just a few. It's a heredity thing, we all have thousands of ancestors. It does give you a nice selection of tartans to choose from.
