Hello Everyone! Newbie looking for Sporran identification help.
This weekend I came across a yard sale where a woman was selling her Grandfathers Sporran, it is missing the trim piece and back button. On the back it has stamped in it "Wm Jardine and Sons Military Outfitters, Edinburgh" Can anyone help me identify approximate year and significance?

Can't help with the sporran, but somebody will jump in shortly, for sure!

It's of a similar pattern, though not identical; to those worn by the Lovat Scouts.
But if that is what it is, the cantle and sporran badge are missing.
Steve McVeigh (RIP my friend) had one advertised, albeit a newer issue:-

Manufacturers, designs etc. changed over the years, but at least that's one possibility.
Anyone else?

In fact looking at it again, I think it's more likely to be a sporran of the Highland Light Infantry, although again, minus cantle and sporran badge.
Go to 0.54 minutes in this video which has been uploaded onto youtube:-
