Hello from Fargo, ND!
I'm brand new to the forum, but have owned and worn a USAK casual for three years.. still trying to get comfortable with wearing the kilt in public! I'm just about to order a heavy wool kilt from SWK and maybe a thrifty kilt for the heck of it. I need a real sporran, would like a tweed argyll jacket and waistcoat, and a real Sgian Dubh!
I'm a greenhorn in Heather and Thistle Pipes and Drums in Moorhead, MN, and will receive the band dress when I become a full time member.. If I can get a little (lot) better!

Welcome to the group. Wearing the kilt in public gets easier over time. You will find you will get a few questions and positive comments. I have meet a lot of interesting people because of the kilt over the years.

Welcome from Va.! I look forward to you sharing details with us of Fargo kilt wearing in the winter. My dad worked in Fargo during one winter in the early 60s. For a couple of straight weeks, he would get up at 4 a.m. to shower and shave before meeting a tow truck driver who would jumpstart his car. My dad would then make his way to the radio station jumpstarting other cars along the way, then those people would jumpstart others, etc... etc... and then folks would leave their cars running all day long while they worked.
