Hello from Fayetteville, NC
Hi Fellow Kilt Lovers,
I'm Mike Starling and Fayetteville and the surrounding area has a rich Highland heritage. I got my first utility kilt about 2 years ago and am up to three now. I enjoy working in my woodshop and yard while wearing them. After doing my family tree and some genealogy research, I have discovered my 5th greatgrandfather and grandmother came from Scotland. So I just recently got my Stirling District tartan kilt! I look forward to being an active member here.

Well met Mike. There are a large number of NC natives here (I'm one if you didn't guess) that make this site strong. Glad to have you with us.

Welcome from another North Carolinian. I am on the coast near Morehead City, though I have a brother in Fayetteville.

Hello and welcome from Houston, TX. Some of my ancestors also first put roots down in NC, to eventually move further west to Tennessee. I've visited Charlotte, and a pretty town she is.

Greetings Mike!
Lots of Highland Games in the Carolinas.
Saltwater games in North Mrytle Beach in March, also Tartan Day South in Columbia.
Loch Norman games north of Charlotte in April.
Maybe Triad games in Greensboro in May.
Of course Grandfather Mt. games in July.
Charleston games and Cape Fear games (Wilmington) in September.
Closest to you would be the Scotland county games and Carolina Caledonia Festival in Fayetteville in October ?
Come to any or all, look forward to seeing you at these.
