I'm Doug from S.L.C and I'm Married, 2 Daughters and 3 boys (Scottish Terriers-Scottie, McBear and Larry) I've been looking for a Kilt (Shaw Clan Tartan) for a long time but got serious this year, busy life - Golf and Cartooning.
I was hoping you guys can help me in a direction to find a good but not that expensive Kilt etc.

Welcome, from Alabama! Two boys, two girls...
I will mention all the vendors on this site seem to have very good reputations and my personal experience with USA Kilts will place them at the top of my own list.
My advice? An adage. If it's worth having, it's worth waiting for.
OR...nothing worth having is easy. Take your pick.
I was fortunate to find my Gordon kilts second hand, but the trade off was mental. Time, emails, pictures, measurements - and then still needed slight alterations. If your measurements don't have second hand luck - the method then shifts to intent. The purpose of this kilt. Pub nights? Athletics? or posterity?

Well met Doug. Glad to have you with us. Maybe some of our members in your area will lead you to local "for-hire" shops near you to look into 1) affordable but quality first kilt, 2) experience wearing kilts in your area, 3) and like Profane James, plus and minuses particular to your budget, needs-wants, etc.
