Hello from the "Frozen "Tundra."
I am new to X Marks and have been wearing the kilt since 1984, I was a piper with a pipe band out of Sioux City, Iowa. I am a retired physician, and Episcopal priest,a fly fisherman, and a fly tier. I have been wearing the Gordon tartan proudly until DNA tests burst my bubble, but thankfully did not break my bottle of single malt. I currently live in La Crosse, WI.

Your priorities seem to be in good order! I do believe there are more than a few good folks here that will say American's get more wound up about tartans than Scots, probably much in the same respect St. Patrick's day is a bigger event here as well. Welcome!

Well met and welcome Larry. I'm sorry to say that all I can do is drown bait but I admire those that conceive a fly and cast to the prime spot. Glad to have you with us.

Welcome Fr Larry,
I once heard ...bubbles where meant to be broken!
Regardless, since I've been a reader of Xmarks...I've learned no matter the name, but rather just the enjoyment of wearing the tartan, is what counts! Although, when it's connecting in someway to your family, it just makes it more enjoyable. Of course some may have a total different outlook... just remember there are seven days in a week!
Some Gordon out there will take pleasure in the fact, that you felt honor in wearing it proudly. Good luck fishing for the big catch!

Fr Larry, wet greetings (I'm soaked from rolling in the waste containers, as the heavens are pouring forth), from the soggy mountains above Silicon Valley. As a Physician, what was your specialty?
