Hello from Georgia

Hello everyone!

I'm currently living outside of Atlanta, Georgia, having been born in Wisconsin. I have not tried on a Kilt but I am very interested in Celtic and Scottish culture, being part Scottish. I am studying Scottish Gaedhlig all by myself and was hoping that there were other people on this forum that were in the Atlanta area that would like to meet and help me out

I hope to lose more weight for the Stone Mountain Games, where this year I would definitiely like to show up in a kilt.

The Georgia contingent is fairly numerous here but also quite dispersed however that doesn't stop us from getting together for Great SEKS (Great South Eastern Kilt Society). Just keep your eye out for gatherings or even schedule one. There's always someone who can be persuaded to meet up for a pint

Hi Ciltmore welcome to the board. There will be a Kilt Night in Atlanta or SEKS next Saturday, May 23rd at the James Joyce in Avondale Estates near Decatur. We are planning to meet around 7:30, the food is good and the beverages plentiful. We attempt to have a SEKS Kilt Night once a month around the metro area so as Cavscout stated keep your eye out for gatherings and if you want to have one at a location near you just post it here on the board.

Hello and welcome from Savannah, just a few hours away down on the coast. We've got a few kilties in the area and we'll be getting together on a regular basis so if you're ever going to be down this way, post us a notice on the Georgia subforum.
