Hello from Georgia
Hello all, longtime reader of this excellent forum, finally joined.
I grew up on the coast in Savannah, now living west of Atlanta with my wife, 3 kids, and 3 dogs.
My grandmother was a Murray with*family lore saying they came from Ireland. I learned about the Murray (of Atholl) Clan a long time ago and was enthralled by kilts (and anything Scottish) and bought a cheap one several years back which I've worn proudly.*In the past year I've dug much deeper into my ancestry and now know my ancestors came to Savannah, GA from Ireland during the Famine. As best I can tell they were only a few generations there (Co. Monaghan) since coming from Aberdeen, Scotland. To celebrate my discoveries, I'm planning on buying a proper*kilt (USAKilts) sometime this summer in time for Highland games/RenFest/St Paddys Parade next season. Thanks for having me!

Welcome from slightly NW of Atlanta! Pre-Covid we would try to get together once a month, or every couple of months, for an Atlanta area Kilt-Night. Once things settle back down and folks are comfortable going out again, I hope you can join us sometime!

That would be great, always looking for a reason to go out in-kilt.
