Hello and Happy Easter from Germany
Hi everyone,
My name is Kristof (yes - really) and I live in the little town Hildesheim in the north of Germany. I live here with my dutch husband and our dog (also dutch breed :-) ).
I work as an opera singer at the theatre of Hildesheim (www.tfn-online.de). And I play bagpipes. Not the GHB, but germany, french and swedish bagpipes and I like to dance "Bal Folk", wich is a mixture of dances from the same origin as my bagpipes.
Next to music and dancing I like to knit and sew. I knit socks and pullovers and I sew a lot of different things: Thai fishermen trousers for the summer and for dancing, I also sewed our wedding dresses, stage costumes for a program of german songs of the 1920-40 (knickerbockers and norfolk jackets):

No it has to be a kilt! I don't exactly know, why, but I want to try it. My first project will be a working kilt (box pleat, I think) made from cotton canvas. I looked at a lot of pictures and "making of" here and everywhere in the www. The only part I didn't really understand until now is the double fringe at the apron. If anyone could show me a picture of this particularly part?
Happy easter!
Kristof
