Hello from the High Plains of Eastern New Mexico
Awrite, I'm Eric Page, my mother was a Gordon/McLeod, my Father was a Page/Kimball, all of my ancestors immigrated to the New World pre 1700 through Canada down in to Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and finally in to Massachusetts. My late Uncle David and I are the only ones in my family with an interest in our Scottish ancestry and everything that goes with it. Until last weekend I never even considered wearing a kilt, I don't believe I had ever seen anyone wearing a kilt in the United States. I spoke with a nice man selling kilts at a Scottish/Irish Faire in Midland, TX., and I though why not, he didn't have a belt in my size or a Sporran or Kilt pin that appealed to me, so I ordered them, everything will be here on Thursday, so I expect my first day/evening out in my kilt will be for St. Patrick's day. I'm a large man at 6'3" 330 pounds, I bought a 54 inch Kilt it's a rather inexpensive kilt. I figure if wearing a kilt is for me I will invest in a better kilt, if it's not for me, I'm not out that much money and I will have had the experience of wearing a kilt. I have spent a lot of time looking around this forum in the last few days, and it seems like it's filled with a lot of nice people with a wealth of information they're willing to share. Thank you for having me.

Welcome
Welcome Bovineguy, from Roseville, Califonia.
You likely made a wise decision buying an inexpensive "test kilt". Hopefully you will find it to your liking and take the plunge into a quality kilt when the time is right. You have a wonderful kilt maker in Kathy Lare located in ABQ. She will take good care of you if and when you decide to go for it!

The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

Right here in Albuquerque? I'm there at least once a month. If I find this is for me, I'll be looking for contact information, thank you very much.
