Hello from Hong Kong
Hello all
Nice to meet you all, am a Yankee born Brititish raised fella living in HK. I lived in Edinburgh when young and wore a kilt for ceilidhs now and again then but hadn't thought about it much until we went on vacation to Scotland this year. Wore a sportskilt the whole trip!
On balance I prefer the kilt with u/wear (heresy I know). Also my first owned kilt is being made as a 4-5 yard box pleated kilt (double heresy).

I may be mistaken, but I will argue that most of us wear undies with our kilt, and there are plenty with the box pleated variety! I think you're right at home

Welcome from the great state of Michigan in the USA. I think you'll find as you read through posts that neither of those things are really considered heresy around here
