Hello from Idaho
Long story short I am new here. My real name is Eric L. Shaw, I hail from Pocatello Idaho. I knew I was of Scottish decent and my family has always displayed our family crest with honor ever since we landed in America in the 1600's. Last weekend a good friend of mine and his family invited me, my wife and my 5 kids to the gathering of Scots in Lehi Utah. The rest as we often say is history. My oldest son and I have purchased our first kilts and my wife and I will be embarking on a journey in our past.
I have begun a search for kilts and dresses for my younger children, three girls and a boy. The information I have found here is top notch and I look forward to becoming a member of this community. To those of you that have started this site and contributed to its development, thank you.

We are from the Clan Shaw, linked to the Clan Mackintosh. I have several items from my Late Grand father that show our origin and those whom we were aligned with. Not to mention information that one of my great great(keep adding great) Grandfathers was the Mayor of London in the 1500's ( I am sitting at work so I am running off of memory here). Like I have said I am new to this whole scociety and the Clan affiliation, so I am learning as I go, please be gentle if I screw up I mean no harm or disrespect. Sin2001 the WIND was horrid. I work in the 3rd windiest place in the country but that was obscene. I was purchasing my kilt as the tents were being shut down, and blown away. The world record attempt at the sheaf toss was amazing and would have been set if the wind wasnt howling. However, we brought enough home brew to ward off the wind burn once we returned to our hotel.
