Hello from Indiana
Greetings to all,
I remember watching Rowdy Roddy Piper growing up and thinking "Wow! That guy is AWESOME!" but I never thought of wearing a kilt myself. I grew up knowing that I was Scots-Irish, but didnt really understand it. About 6 months ago I started getting interested in our heritage and became fascinated with it. Now I am discovering the enjoyment of being kilted, and I wonder....when did my patriarchs start wearing bifricated garments, and why? I get a kilt on at home at least once a week. There is a learning curve but its very comfortable. My wife still gives me the "Your crazy...but it is hot." look every time. Let the collecting begin.
Tribal by nature, Scottish by blood, Young by name, Kilted by choice....
If I told you...I'd have to kilt you

Let me try this again. If it ends up as a double post, my being sorry, while true, won't help us much . . . .
Welcome. Scots/Irish is it? Well, Indiana should be a good place for that. That last time I was in Indiana it had all 40 shades of green of which Ireland boasts, and a few more. It a tornado convention going on too. I don't know if it takes faith to land a commercial jet in the middle of a tornado watch, with the funnel clouds visible from the cabin window . . . but whatever the pilot had, I'm glad he had it!
I have to say I don't think I have ever been anywhere that was more welcoming a place than Indiana.
