Welcome aboard! I envy you. You're lucky enough to live where all my favorite malts come from. Actually, it's probably a good thing I DON'T live there, I'd spend every day on the distillery tours.

Hey Artificer, it can be a challenge at times not just drinking the stuff haha! Though may I ask which malts it is you enjoy? I myself enjoy a nice dram of Bunnahabhain or Bowmore's 15 year old 'darkest', though I was lucky enough to try their devil's cask, a wonderful dram but alas couldn't get a bottle anywhere.
And thankyou to everyone for the warm welcome

Welcome from the Chicago area. It's great to have you. Last summer the wife and I made it as far as the south side of oronsay. Where we could see your beautiful isle. On our next trip to colonsay we will make it over islay.its on my bucket list.

I am green with envy that you live on the home of my favorites: Laphroig and Lagavulin. Although I admit I haven't tried an Islay Whisky I didn't like.
Oh and welcome from Olde New England!

My Twin favorite distilleries are Laphroaig and Ardbeg, although Bruichladdich's 'Super-peat' Octomore range is near and dear to my heart as well.
