Hello from Kanata, Ontario!
Good evening,
Let's clear things up; I live in Kanata but am a Leafs fan! I cannot stand the Sens.
I bought my first kilt from Christopher Ross in Edinburgh. The Royal Stewart tartan was done by Locharron.
I am a Simpson which points to the Fraser clan but my Great Grandfather who was born/raised in Scotland told my Grandfather the family tartan is Royal Stewart. I am looking for the connection but seems Simpson was a River Reviers name bordering England/Scotland; Simpson being found in England and Scotland. I am wondering if we had this tartan before joining Fraser.
My avatar is me in my kilt, with silver medal I won at the 2010 WKA (World Kickboxing Association) Kickboxing World Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Motherland!

You got it! The Ottawa Senators play out of Kanata which is a suburb of Ottawa. I live about 7km from Scotiabank Place where they call home.
