Hello from Las Vegas
My name is T.J. I hail from Cleveland, OH and currently reside in Las Vegas. My father is Canadian & my grandparents are Scottish. I stumbled across this site searching for Clan Macpherson items. I received my first kilt 24 years ago when my dad ordered us Macpherson Dress kilts from his uncle, Hugh Macpherson the Wandering Highlander. We wore our kilts at the Clan Macpherson get together in the late '80s and I hadn't worn one since. When my father passed away last year I discovered his old kilt hanging in the closet. I immediately tried it on and it fits! Since then, I have been looking more into my family's history with the hopes of reconnecting with my Scottish heritage. I'd like to get another kilt eventually, I'm leaning towards Macpherson Hunting. Anyways, it's great to be a member here and I hope to to enjoy some great conversation with you folks as well as meeting some Macphersons.

Welcome, T.J., from So. Cal. A lightweight kilt might be the ticket this time of the year there....

Hailse Fere
Hailse Fere,
‘tis good to see a fellow [Las] Vegan on these pages. Are you involved in any of the local kilt-able activities?

I wasn't aware we had any local kilt-able activities. I wouldn't mind getting involved.

Google St. Andrew Society of Southern Nevada Facebook. They meet every 2nd Thursday. SASSN sponsers events like Tartan Day Dinner, Something-Scottish, Scotland in a Suitcase, Burns Night Supper, 51's baseball night...
Google Las Vegas Celtic Society for their website and Facebook page. LVCS sponsers probably the very best Celtic festival and Scottish games in the west, held annually about the middle of April.
Feel free to contact me via XMTS for furthur information.

Great! Thanks for the info. I attended the Games this year, but would like to do more with the SASSN.
