    Hello from Long Beach, California

    Hello everyone,

My name is Tony and I am in Long Beach, California. I am relatively new to kilts. I purchased a kilt from Damn Near Kilt 'Em for a theme night and I enjoyed wearing it, but haven't worn it much since I got it. I found out that Sport Kilt's HQ is nearby in Signal Hill, so I went in and found a great kilt that I decided I needed.

I work from home on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I like going out to dine or shop or run errands during my lunch break. I've been wearing my Sport Kilt while out and about. Most people seem not to react, but those that have seem positive overall. That definitely makes it more enjoyable.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here!

Well met Tony. Glad you are having (as a lot of us do) normal reactions to being kilted. Welcome.

Thank you for the welcome! I know Goleta. I once blew an engine out there during a road trip back home from San Francisco. It's about 2 hours north of where I am now, but more like a 4 hour drive from where I used to live. I visited later, under better circumstances.

Went back to Sport Kilt today to get belt loops added to my kilt. Since they often have discounted items in their showroom, I found this and decided I couldn't leave without it.

I wore it right out to the grocery store and an older woman came up to me and was very, very complimentary. This one hits mid-knee, whereas my other Sport Kilt goes past the knee. I really like it.
