Hello from Long Island NY
Thank you for accepting me in to the group. I've been looking for a resource place to find answers to some questions while also having some fun doing it. My family background is Irish, Scottish, Welsh and Swedish. I ve been living in NY my whole 49 yrs. In 2019 I finally was able to make a trip abroad to Ireland and Scotland and was amazed by the people, culture and history.... I was disappointed however how commercialized certain areas had become and quality of products and tradition had given was for the quick buck... I hope to learn quite a bit here. I also hope I am able to help with some comments and enjoy a bit a banter between friends. Once again thanks for allowing me in to the forum.

Thank you all for the kind welcome, I'm sorry I didn't reply individually to each one but I as I manage to work my way through the forum and its etiquette I figured a general statement of gratitude would be better than an annoyance within my first couple of post.. Once again thank you for the kind welcome!

Hello Jimmy - Merrick, Long Island here! Can I ask what part of the Island you live on?
Looking forward to running into you either purposely or just out and about.
