Hello from Mississippi
Hello everyone,
I bought a kilt for my birthday last year, because I figured 1. I am in America and I can do whatever I want, and 2. I'm old enough to not care what anyone thinks. LOL
Well, a year later and I am still wearing my kilt and I have a few different ones ( I got the sport kilts). I find them rather comfortable and my wife loves seeing me in one. yes, I get asked many questions like, "Do you play the bagpipes". and " Are you going to a event". I usually just come up with colorful answers.
Anywho, thought I would stop by and say hello. This forum has come up many times when I have googled something kilt related, so I thought I would become a member.
SO, Hello everyone !

Welcome, from Inverness-shire.
I have to say that there are an awful lot of your fellow countrymen that spend rather a lot of their time on this website trying to learn how to wear someone else's National attire!

Welcome to the forum. Where in Mississippi do you live? Also, why not post a photo or two.

Central Mississippi, Between Jackson and Vicksburg. I might post some pictures as soon as I figure that out and my wife snaps a few.

Well met new friend. Don't let my title confuse you. Twenty five years of my life has been spent in Oxford, MS. I was lucky enough to be born and bred a Tarheel.
On a side note, Please forgive Jock Scot's observation. As we say down here in Dixie, "It's a Southern thing, he might not understand." YET! he is a gentleman of the Kilted and must know why we (Americans) desire the comfort allotted from the attire of our ancestors.
Glad to have you with us.
