Hello from a new member in Alberta
After hemming and hawing for several years I just took the plunge and acquired my first kilt with a view to wearing it for the first time at a formal event in a few weeks. Be advised I will have lots of questions as I get deeper into the subject, so thank you in advance.
Regarding my user name...it honours my grandfather who served in the 226th Battalion (Men of The North) and 43rd Cameron Highlanders of Canada in the Great War.

It is a good thing to honor our ancestors. My father was a U.S. Marine, 1st Eng Bn, 1st Marines, at Guadalcanal. He did more for his country and posterity in his four months there, than I did in 26 years in the US Air Force and Army National Guard. We must remember the sacrifices they made that we are free.
And, welcome to the Rabble, as they are wont to say here!
