Hello, newbie from Michigan
Hello. I came looking here because I want to start knitting kilt hose. I haven't tried any yet, but we'll see how my first pair come out! I've already looked at the DIYers thread, and there were piles of good ideas and tips. I might dabble in knitted bonnets as well.
I don't own any kilts myself, but I know people who do.
:-)
Nice to meet you!

Hi there,
Just joined the form today and saw your post. A few years back I met a lady at the Scottish Games in Woodland, CA. At the time she was spinning wool and I found that interesting so we struck up a conversation. She told me that she was spinning the wool so that she could make a gent some hose. We talked for a while and I decided that I wanted a set as well. She took a bunch of measurements and that was it. About 2 months later we met again at another games and she showed me what she had completed. Two months later we met again and this time the hose were completed. Needles to say I was very happy with them. I don't wear them very often bbecause they have a tendancy to get a wee warm...lol I haven't seen hers since that day. There have been many people that have seen my hose and want a pair.
Good luck

Welcome from Albany, NY!
We always appreciate more knitters here (and women, for that matter, as they seem to represent only about 5% of the forum members.)
