hello from nh
Greeting from Southern NH. I found this site while looking for plans for a duct tape kilt. I've been listening to my uncle tell stories of Scotland and our clan (MacLachlan) for 40 years. He could turn any conversation into one about Scotland. In the last 8 or 9 years I have taken a serious interest and have become that same way. He keeps telling me the baton has been passed. Stumbled onto this site but it looks like I'm really going to enjoy being here.

By Duct Tape kilt, do you mean one made out of duct tape? If that's the case I would recommend against it. I tried to make my wife a corset out of duct tape and we found that it doesn't breathe, like, at all!

Yeah, I meant made out of duct tape, but I imagine you're right...it wouldn't breath and would probably weigh quite a bit. I guess I'll stick to wool

You probably won't get much use out of a duct tape kilt after the "Gee whiz" factor has worn out with your friends but a kilt made out of wool or PV or denim etc. will most likely be enjoyed longer than you will first expect.

There is a high probability that you will because of the generally positive attitude here, the informative posts and the helpful members who contribute to what has become a large kilt related knowledge base.

Welcome
You probably don't know it, but you have a great kilt maker, Judy Sullivan, living in your own town!
She is the lady who took over the kilt camp in NY for Elsie, a kilt making goddess.
My thought on the duct tape kilt is it will get you a laugh, but a real fitting kilt will get you admired.
