Greetings everyone,

I decided to join after Google brought me here to read some reviews on various kilt makers. Yesterday, I decided to order a 5 yard wool kilt in a Thompson dress blue tartan from USA Kilts. I chose USA Kilts based on the excellent reviews on their site and all of the glowing recommendations on this forum. Their staff has also been great at answering any questions I might have even though I have called a few times right before closing time. I currently have a Damn Near Kilt 'Em Sport kilt that is ok, but I'm anxious to get a kilt that is custom fitted to my measurements.

Also, I purchased The Art of Kilt Making a few weeks ago so I'm looking forward to eventually trying my hand at a handmade garment. I will probably be coming back here to ask a bunch of questions about that when I have some extra spending money for a nice tartan fabric.
