Hello from North Carolina
Hello, lurked around for a while reading posts and finally actually registered for an account on here as my interest in the subject has continued to grow. I purchased my first kilt (MacIntyre Modern Hunting) from the Gaelic College on Cape Breton Island a few years ago. Mostly wear it for special occasions including an outing coming up next weekend that is a fund raiser for an establishment where I'm a volunteer. Just getting back from another trip to Cape Breton where I've ordered a MacIntyre Ancient so expecting that to show up March or April of next year. Also ordered a matching shawl for my wife to wear. She wants to make sure folks associate her with me
Finding that this does become a bit of an addiction looking for more general kilt-wear to mix things up a bit but it certainly is fun. Also figuring out the best way to work kilt wearing into my life more frequently. Love seeing all the pic posts in threads such as the Kilted Friday where I've read through all 100+ pages.

I did forget to mention that I also started playing the bagpipes just over a year ago. Always had an interest and finally found someone local to teach me. Absolutely love the instrument. I had played around with trumpet and guitar in the past but haven't picked up a guitar since I started with the pipes and sold the trumpet last year.
