Hello from NW Missouri
I've lurked around the site for a few years and looked up information from time to time like a lot of you probbaly did. I finally figured it was time to register. I'm in Maryville, which is in the top left corner of the state. It's about 100 miles from KC, Des Moines, or Omaha.
Was at the KC Games and Gathering last weekend. Trying to decide about St. Louis in September. If we go to those, I'll try to take the son and the grandsons. The grandsons have kilts, socks, flashes, and sporrans for the event so now I only have to convince my son to borrow my extra Black Watch so he'll match the boys. The boys refer to the sporran as their "soft pocket" because of the rabbit fur. The oldest is 4 and the youngest is 2. took the oldest to the KC gathering last year.
Anyone been to the festival in St. Louis, MO.? Opinions?

Hello from Springfield! Never been to Maryville, but we pass "close by you" as we head home to Iowa on I-35.
I highly recommend the St. Louis Games -- for starters, it's a great venue -- Historic Forest Park, not too far from the Robert Burns Statue at Wash U. The games itself is a lot of fun and one of the best I have ever been to. If you do make it, look us up at the Clan Cumming tent.
V/R,
Todd

Welcome to the site. Hope you enjoy your time here.
Havent ventured into your neck of the woods for events as of yet so I cant help you with info about games in your area. Sure there are many others here who can. Ever decide to go towards the east or northeast, LMK as I can provide some insights there.

If we make it to St. Louis as planned, I'll be sure and look you up. Wife and I will be wearing Clan MacNaughton, although herself will probably also wear her MacArthur sash.
