Hello from Ontario, Canada
Hello folks,
Newbie in many ways but being married to a Scottish woman and a recent trip to Scotland has fueled my desire to dwelve into the world of kilt wearing.
Sadly im not of Scottish background but after a visit to one of the premier custom kilt makers, while wondering in Edinburgh, i learnt that you can get tartans representing provinces....you learn something new everyday....lol.
So im probably going to go down the "utility kilt" road first as i think its probably the most useful for my daily wears but who knows......guess thats why im here, learn, seek your knowledge and help....become part of a community.
Cheers!!

Welcome to the "Great Rabble"!
There are a whole lot of beautiful "non-clan" tartans to consider. I'm personally very partial to the Maple Leaf Tartan which Canada has officially adopted as our national tartan.
