Hi All from Ottawa Canada. It is great to meet everyone here at X-Marks.
I was a normal person until I visited Scotland in 2009. When I was there my Mother’s cousin gave me my Grandfather’s sgian dubh that he left there when he came to Canada in 1921. Her mother had held onto it and then she did and 88 years later it came to me. Well what use is a sgian dubh without a pair of hose to tuck it into, and what are hose without – well you get the idea? I barely knew how to put the thing on but I wore my first kilt home on the plane and the obsession was born.
It is fantastic to find a group of non-normals to share this sickness with.
