Hello from the Pacific Northwest
Hello from the wilds of the Pacific Northwest!
Joined as I made a kilt for my daughter when she was five. Thinking of acquiring one for myself - may make it, probably find one that I could purchase used, but we'll see.
My great grandparents immigrated from Lanark and Fife in 1910 and 1916
(Seehttp://www.olypen.com/tinkers/Geneal...ie%20Scott.htm)
It's the highland game events here that got me reconsidering acquiring/making a kilt. Just need to figure out which tartan...Robertson has been the based upon the surname (Reid), but have toyed with the tartan for Fife; and also the Soltaire kilts using the Pride of Scotland.
So, just wanted to say hi and I'll be lurking about the boards!

Hey you are just across the strait from where I am at. On a good day, I can even see Victoria from my girl friend's 2nd story! Makes us almost neighbors!

It would be a very big wave in my case. I'm on the Sechelt Penninsula about level with mid-Vancouver Island. Neighbours anyway. Enjoy your time with XMarks, RodF, it's a pretty fine place.
