Greetings from the Pacific NW! I'm new to this forum and so glad to have found it! At age 46 I have been studying my own ancestor/family roots for a bit now and relish showing my Scottish and Welsh pride. My great grandfather and GM x2 lived just outside of Glasgow and moved around the UK in the 19th century. Also had some Welsh born relatives too. My name is of Highland extraction and I hope to narrow down when they lived there, etc.
Also just ordered my first kilt: from Sportskilts a Hunter tartan (since they didn't have Ross I opted for a neutral and pleasing colour that matches our NW hues). Am a long distance runner as well so this should be fun to test out in the coming year.
Now to go enjoy the past posts and informative discussions!!!
