hello from Pahrump Nevada
Hello everyone. My name is Steve and I live in a small town with zero kilt culture. My kilt, a black utility kil that I've added a Co Kerry Tartan to, is on it's way and I'm not entirely sure what reception to expect. Anyone else a lone kilter from a small town? Also, I'm half hispanic so... That's gonna be a thing.

from Reno, NV. , I grew up in Yerington NV. but I've never wore my kilt there. Still all my old home town friends see my pictures on Facebook. I've not had any negative comments from them.

Welcome from Alabama!
I can say that, outside of the St.Andrews Society and St.Patricks Day, my city has no culture of mainstream kilt wearing.

Well met Steve. Many members among us know your plight. However you approach being kilted in public, you'll be the trend setter.
You can look at yourself as the new exhibit at the art gallery or the billboard that informs the masses. Welcome to a community that "gets it".
